Scudamore is in it for the money

How can the Premierships League Executive even think about taking our top divisions matches away from our home soil?

Money, money, and more money is the answer. Why try and break something that isn't broken, currently the English Premiership is admired by its foreign counterparts for the publicity it receives, competition it provides, and general wealth that it has created recently.

It's not like there is a need to publish the Premierships name in other countries for further investment. This is already happening with investors trying to buy into a number of Premier League clubs, such as Liverpool, Birmingham, and Derby recently. Last season also showed great potential for club takeovers by foreign investors, with such clubs as Arsenal sticking to their guns (no pun intended!) with their current ownership.

So why is there the need to take the game to other countries, as we can still create interest by playing abroad in pre-season friendlies and tours? If there ever was a thought about playing a match abroad then why not play the Charity Shield in a different country, this shouldn't cause to much disruption to our own season.

I say forget the money and remember the people that put you where you are Scudamore, 'The Fans'........
