LA Galaxy are desperate for points in the MLS Play-off chase after their 0-0 draw with Toronto on Sunday and their cause isn't helped by the ailing David Beckham who is yet to play a single league match since his high profile arrival from Real Madrid.
The Jewel of Major League Soccer (according to Alexis Lalas, GM of LA Galaxy) are looking like the laughing stock of the SuperLiga at the moment and they will continue in that vein until Beckham puts on his boots and starts to pull them out of trouble. He finds himself in a similar situation to that of last season when he was re-instated to the Real Madrid towards the end of their last campaign.
Will it be too little to late by the time he is fit to play? What will happen when the England team Manager Steve McLaren comes calling in August for the friendly against Germany! Will Beckham risk his ankle once again for the chance of playing for his country to try and reach his goal of 100 caps.
Galaxy must feel that they are just small fish in the large pond of David Beckham.
